You have to manually activate the Junk E-mail filter. Log onto OWA and click Options. Scroll down to the Privacy and Junk E-mail Prevention section and enable Filter Junk E-mail. Check the Junk E-mail folder regularly to ensure that you do not miss messages that you want to receive. Click Save and Close.

9. How do I set up a forward rule in OWA?
Click on the Rules option in the Outlook Bar at the left side of the window.

Select the New button at the top of the right pane and a new "Edit Rule" window will display.

Select the "Forward it to" option.
Type the email address you wish to forward your incoming mail to.
If you don't want to keep a copy of the forwarded email in your inbox on our server then uncheck this from the option below.
NOTE Scandinavian School of Brussels takes no responsibility for forwarded email. We cannot be responsible for email forwards that do not arrive once sent from our servers. Situations such as full mailboxes, filters set on the destination account and a number of other issues may interfere with the timely delivery of email to the forwarded email address. If you want to be able to access your email while on campus using a web browser then you should leave the "Keep a copy in my Inbox" checked when using the forwarding option. It should also be noted that if you use the forward option and leave email in your Inbox you may have to log into your account and clean it out periodically as you may exceed your mailbox size limit which will prevent the receiving of any further email.
Select the Save and Close button.

Click OK when a popup window displays: "This rule will be applied to every message you receive. Are you sure you want to do this?"

The email subject will display FW: indicating that the email has been fowarded. This was not the case with the old Gordano WebMail, however, as the email is technically a forward from your SSB account it will display as a forwarded email.
The email sender on forwarded emails will be your SSB email account, as the email is being sent to your SSB account and then automatically forwarded (not redirected) to your personal email account. This will require a little attention when responding to emails forwarded from your SSB account, as simply choosing to Reply will list your SSB account as the intended recipient.
